I had a normal sram gx before and have now switched to gx axs, the gears are worse than the mechanical groupset! i can't adjust the gears perfectly, i had no problems with the mechanical gx on the same bike! - i need this function!

This is the reason I swapped to AXS... It cant currently be done via the app? yet your video suggests that it can? LBS has never used app said no support?

This is a much needed solution. I believe that since there are six such posts on this forum and a lot of support from AXS users, the people at Sram should not hesitate any longer and adapt the product to the users' expectations. Thanks to this, it will be possible, for example, to easily mount Etap AXS groups on older bikes or simply change the equipment for a better one. This solution will also help with technical problems on long, multi-day trips and on vacation outside the home, and the lack of a bicycle service there when there are problems with the drive.
It is very necessary for bicycle races, where it is easy and easy to crash the bike, and in similar situations in MTB and Gravel. -

If your hanger is straight then the position of the gears never changes, the cassette is always the same and the space between the gears is constant. So if you are micro adjusting individual gears then its just a bandaid fix for bigger problems. It also makes it very confusing because its easy to lose track as you need to go back and index every single gear which is difficult/ impossible when riding

Absolutely necessary!
Simulating cable tension on an electronic shifter is crap… -

Like other posters, I thought this is how the microadjustment feature worked before I bought the GX AXS system. My LBS even told me this is how it works. I was disappointed to see this didn't work out of the box.
My assumption is that you could still have a finite number of total "clicks" of adjustment for you to spread across all of the cogs as needed. I'd assume this was based on available memory in the rear derailleur.

That would be a great addition and a necessary feature to compare with latest Shimano 12 speeds groupset.

I too just purchased an AXS GX derailleur and figured the micro adjustment would be for each gear. I thought It would be pretty much a "no brainer" but I guess I was wrong.
A firmware update would be easy.
It's curious that the last time this subject was brought up and unfortunately shut down, it garnered enough votes to be in the top 10 posts on this forum/site. The admin's post was pretty naive. It's funny that other votes were not shut down in this fashion.
Please SRAM... You created this site for ideas to improve you product...listen to your customers!!!
If Shimano can offer micro adjustment for each gear, it should be a "no brainer".

Absolutely necessary! As well as individual settings for „overshift“ on front mech…. Why running AXS when the customer has no access??? XD
No joke, it’s mandatory to dial in every last bit to perfection.
Yes it all works on properly installed systems and up to spec frames. But nether frames nor hubs nor chains nor the SRAM components ( aka RD with loosened up parallelogram axles … ) will hold up „true“ for the entire lifespan of any drivetrain!
It’s a bomber that SRAM did. reject the last request in such a user unfriendly manner!
Honestly I think it’s because they fear the use of „non SRAM“ cassettes if they add this feature because it would be easier to set them up - if customer wants to.
But imho it’s freaking me out. SRAM does an amazing job and no one needs Thirdparties on their bikes. It’s already a must on SRAM only Setups. So do it now !!!

Agree that this should be number 1 priority!

This is a great idea for when your chainset is in less than factory optimal condition.
SRAMs response to the last time this was raised, was beyond disappointing and showed a bewildering lack of awareness for real world conditions.
Do the right thing SRAM.

Great idea, that I had raised in the past 😊👍 but was denied with an unsatisfying answer. Let us try again and tell SRAM what their best paying customers need.
Remeber, it is a question of time until Shimano will follow with an alternative product... -

This idea has been raised before. Prepare for SRAM to tell you that you all bikes should be in perfect condition at all times and so it’s not necessary in a very condescending manner.
