I'm facing the same situation.
My new red AXS (disc brake)'s right shift lever is not able to shift for every 10 days.
I remove and put back the same battery, and the led shows red
But the voltage meter shows 3.14 V for that battery.My force AXS (rim brake) version works fine. The shift lever battery can last for a long time.

I just got my new bike with brand new rival axs groupset and the right hand shifter keeps indicating battery empty (red light), even when I install a new battery. Did you find a solution for your problem?
