MicroAdjust Per Cog
Not all bikes are perfect 100% of the time. MicroAdjust per gear would help seamless shifting on nonperfect or slightly damaged setup, specially on the fly.
PLEASE DO THIS.

I'm not normally one to surf these forums, mostly because everything works great, but I've been running a Mullet set-up on my gravel bike (4 years and @22'000 km) and despite having full SRAM for the whole system, there's always been one gear that won't settle properly, in my case the 14 or 16 on the 10-52.
I change the chain, casette, chainring and jockey wheels @1x per year and it's always the same problem after. I fully agree as it's the same spacing etc. and there should be no reason for this but it's clearly a problem!
The only thing I haven't changed is the rear mech but it's a bit hard on the wallet especially if it doesn't resolve the problem!

Sram Rival/GX Mullet
Even a new cassette and derailleur hanger didn't help.
Out of 12 gears, only 9 can be used without any problems, top or bottom.Only adjusting individual gears would help.

I recently (3 weeks ago) upgraded my eTap Red from 11-sp to 12-sp AXS.
A colleague of mine just bought a new bike with AXS as well and discovered the above issue and brought this to my attention. Upon checking, I was disappointed.I upgraded my trainer to the same cassette as on my bike 10-33t. However, the bottom half of the cassette on the trainer is clunky in all cogs. I can't adjust one without making others worse.
It would be a high selling point if individual cassette cogs could be micro-adjusted and if profiles could be created for different shifting adjustments, as in my case trainer and bike.
Before this my 11-spd was perfect on my bike and my trainer was running a Shimano cassette that also worked perfectly.

The AXS system being advertised as microadjustable in individual gears is a big reason I bought it. Routing cables through e-bike frame (and removing cabling for old mechanical system) took some doing, as would getting mech back in, but I'm on the point of doing so as I can no longer dial in 1st, 2nd, and third. Very unhappy.

Bought a brand new Sram Transmission. It's impossible to make it work in the third gear. MicroAdjust per Cog would solve this issue

Bitte bitte umsetzen, dann würde ich sofort auf AXS umrüsten. Wäre ein immenser Vorteil ggü. der mechanischen Schaltung und ein USP für AXS.

Sytematic offset at present coupled with an additional indivdual per gear trim would be a wonderful addition. Of course it would need to be carefully implemented in the app GUI so end users are clearly aware of when it's appropriate to trim offset on individual gears.

Hey sram. Local rider here from Southern California.
Finally made the change to a full Xx1 axs drivetrain last year. Cut to the chase its not working out. I worked as a WC mechanic (trek/sram) so there's my history.
An individual gear trim is an absolute must. Meticulously maintained top teir Enduro race bike is still having problems in higher/harder gears. This would immediately fix the issue.
We could all write many paragraphs to why, but seems like you already know that!
Full Xx1 axs drivetrain-deviate claymore. Still didn't shift correctly with all brand new out of the box components, current firmware, on a brand new frame. Yes I straightened the factory-issued bent hanger. Lol
Thank you so much for hearing -

This is a MUST!!! I have a BRAND NEW FRAME and ALL AXS Transmission. I have slight problems with the gears 1, 2 and 12. 12 is good on 17mstps, 2 is good on 16mstps, and 1 is good on15mstps. Make this a feature all ready!!!!!

With microadjust per cog, sram could also sell a lot more electronic groupsets to people with even older components who might not be able to afford to buy a whole new bike straight away... x10 x11 wouldn't be a problem then

I've gone from a relatively basic bike to a brand new very premium bike with the best SRAM has to offer. Incredibly disappointed that spending thousands more I have the same type of issues with gears. Seems like a simple adjustment on one gear would solve it but I can't do anything different to a basic manual barrel adjuster.
AXS with all the potential to adjust to exact positions via software and it's wasted potential.I'm really struggling to feel the difference between basic a premium as it's the same problems. I have a feeling some Chinese based company will come in at some point with loads of extra settings with better technology and wipe out the competition.

It currently works just like an indexed shifter and a traditional derailleur, in that there is one micro adjustment (the barrel adjustment) once you get the general alignment set up. This has worked fine for a while now. I do think a per cog micro adjustment would be a super nice feature that would be one more reason to pay this much for a derailleur since it would open up compatibility with non-SRAM cassettes, but it may also introduce new problems as well. Every time alignment changes at all, you would probably have to spend time redoing all of your gears instead of a simple one step adjustment. And SRAM would probably get a lot more complaints about how overcomplicated their setup is. Customers would be making a mess of their drivetrains, blaming SRAM and demanding replacements/refunds. There is a lot of benifit to keeping it simple. I'm sure their engineers have their reasons for not giving us this seemingly simple feature. I think it would be cool as maybe an advanced setting in a hidden menu or something, but I don't see it as the crisis some of these posts suggest. I mean, what would you do 50 miles from home with a bent mechanical derailleur? I'd bend it back the best I could, so I can at least pedal out. I've done that once or twice and lived to tell the tale.

When your derailleur gets bent 100 miles from you trailhead, good luck aligning it perfectly without tools ( some of us are way over the hill). As far as using with other cassettes (not Sram), this is an opportunity for Sram to expand their derailleur market share.

This is an absolute must for this product to survive. Already thinking of switching back to manual as I always know I’ll be in the gear I need. For a product of this nature and expense, there should be an auto alignment by cog/gear upon user request or when out of alignment is detected as a result of the derailleur instability and derailleur hanger adjustments cannot be fixed 50 miles from nowhere. I’ve kept my old XX1 and grip shift for this very reason.
These fuses will make AXS viable for professional use and convince casual riders it’s worth the cost.

I wrote support because of exactly this issue and I'm happy they pointed me to this feature request forum. Please add this feature. Only having a single, global adjust is just the same as having a mechanical shifter. Please allow us to make full use of the system. For me, I either can shift properly in the upper or lower gear range. Riding a Force 1x12 on my road bike (looks so clean :D) and missing a gear from the limited selection ist very annoying on mixed terrain. Please make it happen 😇
PS: After reading a few comments by SRAM on misaligned hangers or chain gap adjustment: I think we all know how to set this up properly but I nevertheless went to a bike mechanic. They checked alignment and installed a new hanger just to be sure, but couldn't get it to shift perfectly either. I think it's totally fine to have some tolerance in the system, when there's a tool to deal with it. On a mechanical set, this happens all the time, but you can just slightly overshoot to select a stubborn gear. With e-shifters this is just not possible.

This is an issue for me. Brand new bike. One specific gear is skipping on a stock 10-36t cassette combined with 33/46 chainring eTap AXS.
I went to fix this with microadjust and found out like everyone else that the way it works isn’t specific to the cog having an issue and therefor can’t fix an issue without creating another issue.
There are dozens of people with this same issue in your facebook group. Clearly your comment is either not true or your engineers or manufacturers are nor perfect and this feature is critical. Crazy to pay this much money for the illusion of a feature that you refuse to work on.

I get that a SRAM cassette should match up well with a single index setting and mine does. So far, at least. But what if I wanted to install AXS on a Shimano cassette. Or EThirteen? Or some other system that may be slightly different than the Eagle cassettes? The ability to micro adjust per cog gives Eagle users the ability to respond to wear or other issues and would be a very enticing feature for users of other drivetrains in their decision making process of adopting AXS.
In other words, it will make the system better for Eagle users and have the additional consequence of making AXS more appealing to a much wider pool of riders who may then buy more AXS product.
And, as has been noted, competitors will be out with this feature sooner, rather than later. Though I'm not a software engineer, it doesn't seem like this should be a complex feature to add to the software.

As the title says, please don't just reply about having a perfect bike it will be fine! We don't have perfect bikes this would completely change the game in electronic shifting!!!

There will soon be a new Chinese manufacturer selling an electronic shifting system with this feature. Personally, I will be happy to switch over. The only reason SRAM refuses to implement this is to lock customers into buying SRAM cassettes exclusively. It’s a slap in the face.
