Introduce shift lever transmit timeout/switch off eg 2 seconds, for if the bike accidentally rests on a shift lever when parked badly. This will prevent battery drain in the shift lever and mech (rear mech is probably enough as front mech shift normally needs both levers transmitting which is unlikely to happen)
