Most cycling computers (Garmin, wahoo, Sigma, Hammerhead, e.g.) can allready display the gear your're in.
And btw: a remote camera with a display instead of just looking down to the cassette???

With 12 gears in heavy terrain it is very often crucial to know if the right gear has been selected when, e.g., a sudden steep incline has to be entered. I even thougt by myself to install a remote camera on the bike with a small screen to have a look on which sprocket the chain currently is running.
